Jan. 11, 2010: On with the Cadillac Escalade show!

On we go! Welcome to 2010, everyone, and thank you for your interest in and enthusiasm for this project. To fulfill requests for additional information received from many, here, at last, you can enjoy some images of the Cadillac Escalade custom we've built for Dwayne McKee of Scottsdale, Arizona -- this time, with the doors open.

To complete this custom installation:
. we first removed the B-pillar and attached it to the front edge of the rear door
. the door was then reinforced and had a new "suicide-swing" hinge installed
. GM latches were then incorporated into the top and bottom, as well as the roof and floor of the vehicle.

This work was performed by our partners at Innovative Custom Mobility, a company based in the Evansville, Indiana, area.

The following notes correspond to individual frames in the slideshow above. If you click on any of the slideshow frames, the proper caption should appear with the appropriate image.

. Notice the factory seat on EZ-Lock rolling base and docking station.

. DMS-3 lift turning out. Our client has low measurement to top of head, so his vehicle has a flat floor across the top of the frame - 50" floor-to-ceiling height.

. DMS-3 lift turned and ready to come down to the load/unload position.

. DMS-3 lift in the load/unload position...

. Our client's Colours chair, shown in the driver's position. Please notice how bucketed, or squeezed, the chair is.

. Front door interior

. Rear door interior

Once again, this vehicle has been equipped with a 50-inch flat floor, lying just above the frame. Escalades are all-wheel-drive, so the narrowed casters/low sitting height allowed us to work around the transfer case. It has no body lift, and our working width is 28" maximum.

We are interested in your impressions. Please let us know what you think!

    Hello guys,

What online mags do you read and would recommend?

For all you punkrock folks out there I recommend The Enough Fanzine. It is one of the first hardcore ezines on the internet.

They have throusands of reviews from the most popular bands all over the world. Check them out online: Enough Fanzine. Best of it all, they are 100% non-profit and just helping the scene!

    Looking forward to your recommendations.

    Cheers!

So I took the plunge -- bought myself a Fatman iTube Dock and I am very glad to report that I am an extremely happy customer. I actually listened to one at a friend's house several months back and just couldn't get that sound out of my head because it blew me away. I searched everywhere for a great deal and finally found it at Ordio in Westfield Bondi Junction. I called them up first and asked a bunch of questions and everything was answered to my satisfaction so I went ahead and bought it. Shipping was fast. Everything was perfect. I'm pretty darn happy and I'm playing it right now. Not sure if they dispatch outside of Oz but you won't be sorry if they do.

    Very much worth it...

Great help, I am new to this site, but learn a lot. Auto insurance is a funny thing. Each state has different rules and regulations on how auto insurance coverage should work. Despite all these laws and regulations, consumers have power over their coverage. Here are three items that your auto insurance agent won’t tell you when you sign the dotted line: 1. Rates are like fads, they are always changing Auto insurance rates are in a constant state of chang
